Computers
The first time I ever saw a computer was at Westridge Elementary in Provo, Utah. One day I was riding back from Grandview on my bike with Jeff C. and he suggested we stop off at the new school being built, good old Westridge. It must have been late 1979 or early 1980.
He banged on the doors and after some time a person appeared in the darkened doorway and he asked if we could look in the school. The person said yes, and let us in and we wandered into a completely brand new school, before it had ever opened. We may have been the first children to ever enter the building. We ran around the empty school and made fun of all the teacher's names on the plaques. We checked out the library and saw the mini planetarium and the pit and all the cool books and then we saw the computers. Commodore PETs.
I think I can honestly say that was the first time I saw a computer and I haven't stopping being fascinated by them since.
