Ever noticed how Firefox has "standard" scrolling vs. "smooth"? Here's how to fix it.
Open C:\Windows\System32\tp4table.dat in your favorite editor
In the Pass 1 section add:
; Firefox
*,*,firefox.exe,*,*,*,WheelStd,1,9
In the AutoScrollTable section (near the bottom) add:
*,*,firefox.exe,*,smooth

RSS Readers: Google wins again
Google Reader appears to be the best way to consume massive amounts of news. For the longest time I was using the built-in Firefox Live Bookmarks, which are nicely tidy, simple and minimalistic but I found myself spending too much time munging together my own feeds and obsessing over bookmark refreshes looking for new content.
I've tried standalone readers. I don't like them. I'm an unabashed Firefox bigot and firmly believe that Firefox is the new OS.
I tried the Firefox infoRSS plugin, which curbed my incessant desire to refresh bookmarks, but slowed down Firefox noticeably (my OPML is so big it's probably down with OPP). It's also a bit intrusive to have a scrolling RSS banner in your face all day.
So after watching Scoble talk about how he reads RSS on the Official Google Reader Blog, I switched to Google Reader and am very impressed.
